Stovetop Copper Pot Stills – The Ultimate Stovetop Still

As one of our most popular copper pot stills, this is the 5th generation of our unique high quality 2.5 gallon usable capacity pot still design. This is the easiest still to set up and use so you can make whiskey!

Features of this stovetop still:

  • Utilizes a removable air cooled condenser for maximum ease of use, cleaning and storage.
  • No clumsy hose arrangement or water supply is used in the operation of this still.
  • The condenser is an air cooled copper tube with heavy aluminum spiral wound fins on the outside for effective heat dissipation.
  • Just set up a small fan to blow gently across the finned area.
  • We do not include a fan as most people have one already or they can be purchased very inexpensively retail.
  • The 11 liter boiler pot is very durable and easy to clean, made of heavy gauge highly polished stainless steel.
  • Allowing for expansion and boiling action of your fermented wash, it is the perfect size for distilling a 2-1/2 gallon batch to make whiskey.
  • The spun cone still top is of heavy 16 gauge (.050) copper. Copper is used in all high quality distillery equipment.
  • The design allows for generous space above your fermented wash for the accumulation of steam vapors, which is necessary to achieve separation of alcohol and water vapors within the still.
  • Digital thermometer is also included for proper thermal management of the still.
  • The thermometer features a large numerical readout and a swivel head that tilts for easiest reading angle. Thermometer may be supplied in a black color.
  • Unlike other small stills made from cheap stock pots that leak and allow your precious alcohol vapors to escape (which by the way is also dangerous as alcohol vapors are highly flammable), the sealing of the top of this still to the boiler pot is achieved with an FDA white nitrile gasket and a stainless steel full perimeter v-band clamp.
  • This sealing design is far superior to any other small still you can buy.
  • Assembly and operating instructions are included.
  • Also included are recipes for making Rum and Bourbon.
  • Dimensions: Approximately 22 inches to the top of the thermometer. Condenser extends approximately 26" from side of the pot.

Whether it’s our complete stove top still, or one of our other stainless steel & copper stills for sale, you’ll be happy making whiskey with Moonshine Still Pro’s high quality distillery equipment!

WOW !

It is all that and more.

My buddy and I cooked our first batch and it is amazingly simple and FUN FUN FUN.

We made Apple Jack from our left overs from our Cider press. Apples, 2 lbs sugar and a little yeast and topped off tyhe 5 gal bucket with warm H2O.

I must say the quality of the still is excelent and worked perfectly.

Stove Top air cooled still December 13, 2010

Well folks, I've had my still for about 6 months now, and it works better than I could have ever hoped for. To date it has paid for itself. I've made about 30 runs through this still, and it's still going strong. It did take 2 or 3 runs to get my temps down pat, but now its like clock work, i get about 1500ml's of 68% to 75% clean runs, I cut down to 45% with spring water, so if you start with a good wash, you'll get about 2 1/2 fifth's of 90 proof per run. A run for me takes about 6 to 7 hours if I do it right. Its a great hobby, and this is the perfect still for home use!! 10 stars all the way!!!!!!!!!
